Bernoulli drive
The
Bernoulli drive is a computer disk drive first developed by
Iomega in
1983. A Bernoulli drive is just like a floppy diskette; however, the internal disk is much more rugged,
runs faster, and holds more
data. However, these disks are still not as fast as a
hard drive. Bernoulli disks were available in 5, 10, and 20
MB size and was even available up to 230MB. This drive was later replaced by the Iomega
Jaz drive and
Zip drive.
