Shorthand for Be Right Back, BRB is commonly used in chat rooms to let someone know that you are stepping away from the computer, but will return in a quick few minutes. Below is an example of how this would be used in chat.

User1: That's pretty funny.
User2: Heh yeah, BBIAB.
User1: Ok.
<User2 logs off>
<User2 comes back on later>
User2: Ok I'm back.
User1: WB
User2: Thx
